Xmas Music

Here is a collection of songs I’ve made for the Holidays. My song Black Friday ’05 was unjustly given a copyright claim on SoundCloud and they removed it. The offending song sounds nothing like mine! So I’ve switched to Bandcamp.

“Black Friday ’05” – A Dubstep soundtrack for retail shopping on Black Friday. When I worked in retail, it was a lot of repetitive sounds and movements. Lots of cookie cutter interactions with customers and I tried to reflect that in this song. I even sprinkled in some sounds of receipt printers, a modem and phone dialing, coins on the counter and finally a cash drawer slamming shut, which usually signified the end of a transaction.

Arp The Halls (Deck The Halls)” – Fun with arpeggiating synths.

Caroline Of The Knell (Carol Of The Bells) “– My favorite band is RUSH and this is a nod to them since they haven’t done a holiday song that I’m aware of.

Cure 4 Xmas (Jingle Bells)” – If The Cure ever did a Christmas song, it might go something like this.

Bert The Haells (Deck The Halls)” – Another Deck The Halls: One of my dad’s favorite easy listening artists was Bert Kaempfert (hence the goofy spelling of this song). This is my interpretation of how Bert would arrange a Christmas song. Yes, I know he has a Holiday album.

Joy 2 World (Joy To The World)” – This started off as a Duran Duran-type song, but turned into an electronic Joy To The World, complete with bass solo.
