If you’ve seen Rush live on their last few tours, you’ll notice Geddy and Alex don’t have amps or cabinets on stage (unless they’re props). To fill the space, Geddy resorted to having appliances on stage, most notably Maytag clothes dryers. Here’s a clip where he goes into detail about how they came about.
Instead of a backline of bass guitar loudspeaker cabinets, Geddy chose to use three fully operational Maytag Laundromat dryers. The machines tossed shirts throughout the evening, which were eventually thrown to the audience by the band members before the start of the encore. In order for the dryers to stay optional, they were coin-fed intermittently during the shows by stage techs. – January 2003

The closest I’ve been able to come up with as far as model is the Maytag Stream Of Heat, according to these blokes who identified it as a Stream Of Heat. I found the model DG24CS according to the build tag on this dryer (in the photo), which is close, there’s a little access door on the front (which Geddy’s don’t have), but it has the round knob on the door but no glass/plastic on the front to see in. Upon perusing the service manual (I told you I was a dork), I found that a door with a cutout was available, so the one in the photo here just doesn’t have one.

I’ve always thought it would be the ultimate fan-geekery thing to have some kind of clothes dryer as a stage prop, but never pulled the plug on the many free or almost free dryers I’ve seen for sale online. I did come up with a 3D printed model but haven’t actually printed it yet. Here’s a rendering:
Here’s one I 3D printed that’s in my Rush shrine along with some other Rush-related things.
